So glad you are back and blogging again
I loved the Rosemary white workshop I did it in 2008 at the ICDL annual conference

Thanks for commenting, I didn’t realize that I’d been missed. :)

The Basic Course on the DIR/Floortime Model is online again!

Autism, Floortime Comments (2)

The Online Basic Course on DIR/Floortime model will run from March 12th – May 9th, 2010.

Even if you’ve already read The Child With Special Needs: Encouraging Intellectual and Emotional Growth and feel like you understand it all, you might be helped by the additional explanations as well as videos of floortime in action.

There are also three online workshops available which look really interesting.

Here is a description I received in an e-mail:

Meltdowns: Helping Infants, Children and Adolescents Overcome Behavior Problems, Aggression and Tantrums
This ten-hour workshop will present basic principles for helping children with special needs, including autistic spectrum disorders, overcome meltdowns and related behavior problems, and difficulties with controlling aggression.
Taught by Stanley I. Greenspan, M.D.

Regulatory Sensory Processing Disorders
A ten hour workshop on the sensory, motor, and emotional patterns underlying challenges in relating and communicating including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Regulatory Disorder, ADHD, behavior problems and learning challenges
Taught by Rosemary White, OTR/L and Stanley I. Greenspan, M.D.

A Lifespan Approach to Autism
This six-hour workshop will explore different types and ages of individuals with ASD and the best ways to advance their development.
Taught by Stanley I. Greenspan, M.D.
